David Spina
Chief Executive Officer
David began his career in the commercial ceramic tile industry, working in his family’s business where he gained early exposure to operations, project execution, and entrepreneurship. He earned a degree in Finance from Oral Roberts University and later spent more than 17 years with Ambit Energy, where he built and led one of the company’s largest and most successful sales and marketing organizations.
As a leader at M2 Steel, David brings an operations-driven mindset focused on building durable teams, scalable systems, and disciplined execution. He has a proven track record of growing organizations in high-performance environments by aligning people, process, and accountability. David believes strong relationships, integrity, and clear expectations are essential to long-term success. He is passionate about developing leaders, empowering teams, and creating a culture where individuals take ownership and win together. Guided by faith, family, and purpose, David leads with consistency and a commitment to building something that lasts—both in the structures M2 delivers and in the people behind them.
Zach Johnson
Chief Operations Officer
Zach brings a proven track record of operational leadership and business growth to M2 Steel. Growing up with a father in real estate development, he gained early, hands-on exposure to the strategic, financial, and operational foundations of successful construction and real estate ventures. This background shaped his disciplined, execution-focused approach to building scalable businesses.
He began his professional career as a commercial real estate broker, specializing in new construction leasing before transitioning into multi-tenant retail investment sales. As part of a high-performing team, Zach contributed to more than $300 million in commercial transactions across the Southern United States, where his ability to streamline processes, evaluate risk, and implement effective strategies played a critical role in the team’s success.
Chris Morgan
Founder | Chief Revenue Officer – South Division
Chris is a seasoned leader in the Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) industry, bringing more than 25 years of experience across sales leadership, construction management, and business ownership. His deep industry knowledge, strategic insight, and hands-on leadership have been instrumental in driving sustained growth, operational excellence, and long-term value throughout his career.
Chris’s background spans sales, operations, and executive leadership within the metal building industry. He spent 17 years with MBCI, including six years as Vice President of Sales, where he led national sales operations, managed key accounts, and executed strategic growth initiatives. Prior to that, he served 11 years as Sales Manager, building high-performing teams and consistently driving revenue growth. Expanding beyond sales, Chris also spent two years managing a construction department, gaining firsthand experience in project execution, field operations, and workflow management.
Since co-founding of M2 Steel in 2010, Chris has played a central role in shaping the company’s strategic direction, strengthening its sales and operational capabilities, and fostering a culture of accountability and performance. His leadership, industry expertise, and commitment to excellence continue to be key drivers of M2 Steel’s ongoing success and growth.
Kelby McCoy
Founder | Chief Revenue Officer – North Division
Kelby brings more than 25 years of experience in the Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) industry, with a leadership background spanning engineering, sales, and business ownership. His comprehensive understanding of the metal building sector is rooted in a diverse career that includes 12 years in engineering and drafting, where he developed a strong technical foundation and deep knowledge of structural systems, design efficiencies, and constructability.
Kelby’s career progressed into regional and national sales leadership roles, where he spent six years driving business growth, building strategic partnerships, and leading high-performing sales teams across multiple markets. His ability to bridge technical expertise with customer-focused solutions has been instrumental in securing complex projects and expanding market share.
Since co-founding M2 Steel in 2010, Kelby has been instrumental in building the company from the ground up, applying his deep technical expertise and industry knowledge to guide long-term strategy and execution. His broad experience across engineering, sales, and operations enables him to identify opportunities, solve complex challenges, and help position M2 Steel for sustained growth.
